Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Spirit Realm Technologies LLC, doing business as Clipbait (“Clipbait,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website, software, and AI-powered video clipping platform (the “Service”).

By using Clipbait, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

Clipbait is a brand operated by:

Spirit Realm Technologies LLC
A limited liability company operating in California, United States.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve our Service.

A. Information You Provide

When you use Clipbait, you may provide:

  • Name and email address
  • Mobile phone number (only if you choose to receive text notifications)
  • Account login information
  • Payment information (processed by Stripe, not stored by us)
  • Videos, streams, and media you upload
  • Social media account connections
  • Support messages and communications

B. Automatically Collected Information

When you use the Service, we automatically collect:

  • IP address, and the approximate location (city, region, country) we derive from it
  • Device and browser type
  • Usage data (pages visited, buttons clicked, features used, timestamps)
  • Session recordings of how you interact with our website and app (see Section 7)
  • Advertising and attribution data, such as the ad or campaign that brought you to us (for example, UTM parameters), ad click identifiers, and advertising cookie identifiers (see Section 8)
  • Log data related to clip generation and uploads

C. Social Media Integrations

If you connect platforms like YouTube, X (Twitter), TikTok, or Instagram, we may access:

  • Your username and profile information
  • Media upload permissions
  • Publishing permissions
  • Analytics or performance data (if provided by the platform)

We only access the data necessary to provide the posting and automation features you enable.

D. Streaming Accounts You Connect

If you connect a streaming account such as Twitch, Kick, or YouTube so we can clip your streams automatically, we receive your channel name, channel ID, and profile picture, and we receive notifications when you go live. We use this only to find and clip your streams.

E. Sign in with Google

If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us. We use them to create and identify your account.

F. YouTube, Google, TikTok, and Meta Data

YouTube. Clipbait uses YouTube API Services. When you connect a YouTube channel, we request permission to view your channel (to identify it and detect when you go live so we can clip your stream) and to upload videos (only to post clips you choose to publish, such as YouTube Shorts). We do not edit or delete your existing videos. By connecting YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Clipbait’s access at any time from your Google security settings, or by disconnecting YouTube in Clipbait.

Google user data — Limited Use. Clipbait’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide the features you turn on, we do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train generalized AI models.

TikTok. When you connect TikTok, we receive your basic profile (display name and avatar) and permission to upload and publish videos you choose to post. We use it only to publish your clips with the caption and privacy settings you select.

Instagram and Facebook. When you connect an Instagram professional account or a Facebook Page, we receive the account’s basic profile and permission to publish content (such as Reels) you choose to post, and, if granted, basic post insights so you can see how your clips perform. We use this only for publishing and showing you results.

Access tokens for connected platforms are kept in our secured database, used only to perform the actions you request, and deleted when you disconnect the platform or delete your account.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide AI clipping and content publishing services
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Improve product performance and features
  • Communicate with you about your account
  • Understand how people use our website and app so we can fix problems and improve them
  • Measure how well our advertising works and show our ads to people likely to be interested
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share limited identifiers with advertising partners to measure and improve our ads, as described in Section 8.

4. SMS / Text Messaging

Clipbait offers optional text message notifications. This section describes that program, in line with U.S. carrier and A2P 10DLC requirements.

A. What We Send

If you opt in, we send:

  • Clip-ready alerts — a text with a link to your clips when the clips you requested finish rendering
  • Occasional product updates, new feature announcements, and offers from Clipbait

B. How You Opt In

We never text you unless you ask us to. You provide your mobile number while signed in to your Clipbait account — either in the prompt shown when you generate clips, or in Account Settings — and you must tick a box that is not pre-checked, reading:

“By checking this box, I agree to receive recurring SMS clip-ready alerts and marketing texts from Clipbait at the number above. You are opting into marketing texts. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. We will not share your mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.”

We record the date and time of your consent, the IP address it came from, and the exact wording you agreed to. We do not buy, rent, or import phone numbers from third parties, and we do not text numbers obtained any other way.

C. Message Frequency and Cost

Message frequency varies and depends on how often you generate clips. Standard message and data rates may apply, charged by your mobile carrier. Clipbait does not charge you for text messages.

D. How to Opt Out or Get Help

  • Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT) to any message to stop all texts. We will send one confirmation and nothing further.
  • Reply START to resubscribe, or re-enter your number in Account Settings.
  • Reply HELP (or INFO) for help, or email support@clipbait.ai.
  • You can also turn texts off, or remove your number entirely, at any time in Account Settings.

E. Sharing of Mobile Information

We will not share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. We share your mobile number only with the messaging provider that delivers the texts on our behalf, solely so the message can reach you, and only as needed to operate the program.

F. Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and depends on your carrier and device.

5. How We Store and Protect Data

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Secure cloud infrastructure
  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
  • Limited internal access controls

However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. AI Processing of Content

Videos and content you upload may be processed by AI systems to:

  • Detect highlight moments
  • Generate clips
  • Create captions and titles

Your content is processed solely to provide the Service. We do not use your private content to train public AI models.

7. Analytics and Session Recordings

We use PostHog and Google Analytics to understand how people use our website and app. These tools record pages viewed, buttons clicked, and similar interactions, along with your device, browser, and approximate location. Once you create an account, this activity is linked to your account.

We also use PostHog’s session recording feature, which captures how you interact with our website and app — for example, mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and the pages you visit — so we can see where people get stuck and improve the experience. Anything you type into form fields is masked and is not captured in recordings. Recordings are viewed only by our team, are used only to improve the Service, and are kept for a limited period before being deleted.

8. Advertising and Conversion Measurement

We advertise on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok. To measure whether our ads work and to show them to people likely to be interested, we use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API, and the TikTok Pixel and TikTok Events API.

When you visit our website, sign up, start a checkout, or subscribe, we may send these platforms information about that action, which can include:

  • The type of action (for example, a page view, sign-up, or purchase) and, for purchases, the amount
  • Advertising cookie identifiers and ad click identifiers
  • Your IP address and browser information
  • Your email address and account ID in hashed (scrambled, one-way encrypted) form, which lets the platform match the action to your account on that platform without us sending your email in readable form

Meta and TikTok process this information under their own privacy policies and may combine it with information they already have about you. You can control the ads you see through your ad settings on Meta and TikTok, and you can block advertising cookies through your browser’s settings.

We also use Rewardful to track affiliate referrals, so that partners who refer customers to us can be credited.

9. Sharing of Information

We only share your data with trusted service providers and partners necessary to operate Clipbait, including:

  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Cloud hosting providers (storage and processing)
  • Social media and streaming platforms (when you choose to connect an account or publish content)
  • Google (sign-in and website analytics)
  • PostHog (product analytics and session recordings)
  • Meta and TikTok (advertising measurement, as described in Section 8)
  • Rewardful (affiliate referral tracking)
  • Email and text-message delivery providers (to send you account emails and, if you opt in, texts)

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

We will not share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.

We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process.

Recent sign-up notifications

Our website may show short “Welcome to Clipbait” notifications about recent sign-ups. These can include your display or channel name, your country, the streaming platform you connected, and whether you joined Clipbait Pro. To be left out, email support@clipbait.ai.

10. Your Rights (California & U.S. Users)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:

  • The right to know what personal data we collect
  • The right to request deletion of your personal data
  • The right to request correction of inaccurate data
  • The right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@clipbait.ai.

11. Data Retention

We retain your information as long as:

  • Your account is active
  • Needed to provide the Service
  • Required for legal or accounting purposes

Records of website button clicks and of the advertising events we send to Meta and TikTok are automatically deleted after 180 days. Session recordings are kept for a limited period and then deleted. You may request account deletion at any time.

Deleting Your Data

You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data — including clips, connected-platform tokens, and data received from YouTube, Google, TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook — by emailing support@clipbait.ai with the subject “Delete my data” from the email address on your account. We delete it within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting purposes (such as payment records). Disconnecting a platform in Clipbait immediately removes our access tokens for it, and you can also revoke access directly in that platform’s settings.

12. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential purposes — keeping you logged in and securing your account
  • Analytics — understanding how people use the Service (PostHog, Google Analytics), including session recordings
  • Advertising — measuring our ads and reaching interested people (Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel)
  • Referrals — crediting affiliate partners (Rewardful)

You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics or advertising cookies does not stop you from using Clipbait, though blocking essential cookies may prevent you from staying logged in.

13. Third-Party Links

Clipbait may contain links to third-party platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies separately.

14. Children’s Privacy

Clipbait is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
